Colossians 3:1-12

“Personal Responsibility

“When Paul was writing He was praying as He was praying, he was writing.”

The emphasis, Thesis statement and reason for the praying epistle to the Colossians and N.T. Church. (1:9,10)

“To be filled with knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding (vs. 10), so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects.

The realization of the Thesis (1:9-12) is the “Full assurance of understanding” (2:2) of “God’s mystery, that is, Christ himself.”

“Spiritual wisdom, and the full assurance of understanding” comes with a personal responsibiltiy!  

The foundation of our “personal responsibility” to God as He has saved us (reconciled 1:19-22) is found in 2:6; 20; 3:1.
