Our Love for Jesus Motivates
Living a Generous Gospel Centered Life
Generous: God gave everything in sending Jesus to conquer sin. In response, we believers are freed to be generous with our time, talent, and treasure as we pursue kingdom purposes.
Gospel Centered: The Gospel message applies to every area of our lives. “We are saved, sanctified, and sustained by what Jesus did for us on the cross and through the power of his resurrection.” (Chandler) Jesus came to recuse and restore our view of work, relationships, marriage, possession, purpose, and everything in between. Following Jesus is not about rules; it’s about loving Jesus and others with all our heart, soul, mind and strength.
(John 3:16, Matthew 22:37-40, Galatians 2:20, I Corinthians 5:17)
Laying a Biblical Foundation
In a culture increasingly moving away from Jesus, we desire to show people how to view the world in light of His teaching. Jesus has equipped all believers with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit helps us to have a Christ-centered worldview as his power is unleashed in our lives through the Bible, prayer, and a responsive heart. (I Timothy 3:16-17, John 15, Acts 2:42, I Thessalonians. 5:17, Jude 1:20)
Life in Community
God created us to live in fellowship with one another and to invite others to join us. You can’t do life alone. We believe that lives are transformed through using our gifts to serve others in unity, transparency, and commitment to one another in love. We believe that our fellowship is strengthened in regular worship each week. And is built on through relationships and by joining with our other group ministries. (Acts 2:42, I Corinthians 12, Ephesian 4)
Lovingly pursuing those far from Jesus
Every disciple of Jesus is called to be a disciple maker. We desire to reach those separated from God by building bridges to the Gospel through personal relationships, by serving in our community, and by creating a welcoming environment in all our ministries. (Luke 15, Matthew 28:20, I Peter 3:16-17)
Leaving a Legacy of Faith
We believe that building and transforming families is the key to transforming our community. We desire to partner with each home to provide practical tools and a real pathway for Christ-centered relationships, marriages, parenting and grand parenting. We desire to leave a legacy of faith by intentionally melding together every generation as we devotedly celebrate and pass on faith stories from one generation to the next. (Psalm 78, Proverbs 22:6, Deuteronomy 6:20, Ephesians 6)
Linking to Local and Global Gospel Ministries
Our genuine love for people drives us to build bridges for the Gospel to be heard beyond our local community by partnering with other ministries and churches to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. We want to be known as people who are generous with our time, talent, and treasure. We desire to see healthy churches multiplied locally and globally. (Matthew 6:33, Acts 1:8, I Cor. 5:16-21)
